We are raising money for our 8th soccer field which will be located in Uganda. The field will be In Lugazi, about 40 minutes from Jinja, at Rimage Primary School but will actually provide organized sport to more than seven schools:

1. • Rimage Primary School

2. • Community Primary School

3. • Nkoko Primary School

4. • St. Andrews Secondary School

5. • Equator Secondary School

6. • Progressive Secondary

7. • Comprehensive Secondary School

About 6,000 people live in the community. The homes are small and you will find 3-8 people living in one room homes. School children walk about 20 minutes to collect water at the closest bore hole. We are hoping to drill a community well at the school.

A field means so much to students who don’t have a lot. After FUNDaFIELD raises money and builds the field, teams will form. Suddenly these kids are part of something and have a place to go after school. We heard many times that the “footballers” aren’t the ones who get into trouble. Soccer is a source of pride, having practices to attend and a jersey to wear is important. Parents come to watch the games and meet parents from other schools. Many children tell us that a soccer field puts their village on the map and gives them a reason to keep attending school.
