The community surrounding the school has about 3,000 people. There are roughly 436 girls and 380 boys at the school and about 102 are orphans, due to HIV/AIDS.

Most students don’t wear shoes because their parents can’t afford them. A school uniform costs 15,000 ush which is $7.50.

Head Mistress Lorna Nandutu and School Executive Director Paul, point to the proposed location for the new soccer field.
